One of the hardest things, for most people, on our trips to India isn’t the food, heat, or cultural differences. We have seen time and time again that it is very hard for western Christians to receive the honor, respect, and hospitality that is lavished upon them when they travel with FAMM to India.
People feel and express several emotions –
· Feeling unworthy
· Not wanting to be served, but to serve
· Fears of being put on a pedestal
· Not wanting undue attention, rather to put it on Jesus
The truth is we are both special and unworthy at the same time. When we walk into a village or home in India we are seen as special because we are cloaked as an Ambassador of Jesus. This week one woman said, after a team visited her home, “God has visited my home. “ When we go in Jesus’ name, we are His hands and feet!
On the night of September 23rd, 115 Ambassadors went out into 41 villages to share the message that Jesus has the power to change a person’s life.
· 6,053 people heard the message
· 1,920 Compassion Kits were distributed
· 781 made public professions of their faith in Jesus
Please continue to pray for our teams as they have one more day in the harvest fields of India. Pray for continued strength, boldness, and good health.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
