Last week the FAMM team welcomed 23 volunteers from 5 partner churches to join them in the harvest fields of the Middle East. The team shared loving gifts in Jesus' Name and the compelling message of the gospel in over a dozen labor camps. We saw hundreds hear the gospel for the first time and 89 people made professions of faith! God reminded us again that the harvest is plentiful...please pray with our team for more laborers and for God to nurture the seeds that were sown this past week.
This month a team of volunteers from Pinelake Church and GoTEN served with local churches to share Compassion Kits and the compelling message of the gospel in 20 villages in North India. Below is a summary of what God accomplished through this team!
Last week, Kevin Phillips spoke at Sagemont Church in Houston, TX. He shared about how God gave him and his wife Brooke the vision to leave all that was familiar and safe and follow His leading to spark a movement of the gospel among the unreached. Click the link below to hear the story told by Kevin himself:
On Sunday Geyer Springs FBC of Little Rock, Arkansas, packed 1,000 Compassion Kits in one hour! Hundreds of volunteers turned out to help pack the boxes that had already been personally decorated by the kids in the church. Then everyone who packed a box prayed for the families that would receive their loving gifts. Compassion Kits provide a great opportunity for the church to unite in fellowship, service and prayer to bring the gospel to those who have never heard!
The FAMM team recently completed the second phase of the Heart For Bengal mission and delivering the Compassion Kits that you packed and prayed over to hundreds of families. During the first and second phase of this mission, we sent 93 other volunteers who traveled to India to share the love of Jesus and His gospel. These volunteers partnered with local pastors conducting Compassion Kit parties all over the state of West Bengal India. The stories of God's grace and power are countless. We witnessed a woman literally clean her entire house of idols, individuals and families putting their faith in Christ, those who were hurting were touched by the power of Jesus, and pastors and churches were encouraged and strengthened. Below is a summary of the impact that has been made during the Heart For Bengal Statewide Compassion Kit Campaign.
Heart For Bengal Impact Summary (through September)
Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Psalm 105:1
Tonight we had a GREAT turnout to pack over 3,000 Compassion Kits at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers! Our volunteers did an amazing job and had a blast pouring their love into these Compassion Kits that are heading to South Asia next week. May God bless those who will receive these with a knowledge of our great God and Savior, Jesus!
Dear Partners and Friends -
Today I experienced my first earthquake. My day started at 5:00 am Nepal time. We were out distributing food to 300 families in the remote areas 3 hours outside of Kathmandu.
We arrived back in Kathmandu and were preparing to go inside a restaurant and get some food. At that time a 7.4 earthquake rocked the Kathmandu Valley.
Yesterday I had prepared a report about how things were settling down. Life was getting back to normal. Well, now 2 million people are outside and fearful about being inside any building. Panic is widespread.
I was videoing the quake when a building collapsed across the street from us. Attached is a video of that destruction. Smoke clouds like this rose up from all over the valley as many buildings crumbled.
People, including me, will be sleeping outside tonight. Pray for safety and pray for peace in the hearts of the fearful.
FAMM is here trying to assist the needy. Yesterday we delivered food to 100 families that should last two weeks. Today's quake hit them the hardest. Destruction on top of destruction is devastating.
Smaller tremors are happening all around. As we go into our short-term and long-term assistance we will need much support to stand with the Body of Christ here in Nepal.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
Our May Pack and Pray in NW Arkansas was our biggest packing event to date! And it was packed with some great surprises including a life-sized model labor camp! We sent out 7,272 Compassion Kits to our harvest fields and had a GREAT time doing it! With over 200 volunteers involved it was lively and energized...especially because of a very special volunteer, our new mascot, Kit Kat!!!
